Considerations for Admission:

Application evaluation is based upon the following:

  • Application content
  • GRE Scores
  • Transcript Scores (GPA)
  • 40 hours of volunteer work (more than 40 hours will NOT provide higher scores) – it is recommended that the applicant get exposure to at least two settings (i.e.: Outpatient and Geriatric)
  • 3 questionnaires that are submitted by: Clinician whom you’ve worked under, Professor, and current Employer

Tuitions and Fees

  • Tuition for the 2002-2003 Academic year should be approximately $8800 per year for residents and $22000 per year for out-of-state.
  • Room and board should be about $5100 per year.
  • Approximately 60% of the students receive some type of financial aid.

The process allows for the OSU faculty to score/rank each of the above areas. The 3 questionnaires, which are submitted by the Clinician, Professor and Employer, are highly weighted in the process – this is in hopes to balance out the grades. The objective of the program is to have good students who also have good people skills.

NOTE: there is NO interview in this new process for OSU
