Application Information

 

  • Each class beings in late August
  • Application packets are available up to one year in advance.
  • Applications are due in late fall
  • The program accepts up to 50 students per year

 

Application Procedure

 

  • Applications are accepted when a minimum of 3 or more prerequisite science courses have been completed.
  • Eligible applicants are required to visit the Dayton campus for an admissions interview.
  • Submit scores from the General Test taken less than five years prior to enrollment in the program.
  • A bachelor’s degree must be completed before enrollment in the program
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 overall and “c” or better in all prerequisite courses

 

Prerequisite Courses

 

Biological Sciences

Choose one option

1)       A full sequence of anatomy and physiology with lab

2)       A term of human or animal physiology and a term of one of the following classes

·         Human Anatomy with Lab

·         Microbiology with Lab

·         General Biology with Lab

·         Zoology with Lab

 

Physical Sciences (each course must have a lab component)

Choose one option

1)       A full sequence of general physics for physics or pre-med majors plus 4 semester credits of any chemistry with lab

2)       A full sequence of general chemistry for chemistry of pre-med majors plus 4 semester hours of any physics with lab

Medical Terminology

A basic course in medical terminology

Computer Use

A basic computer course which includes word processing and spreadsheets OR documentation of proficiency on the Computer Literacy Form

Statistics

A basic statistics course

General Psychology

An introduction psychology course

Human Development

A course covering physical, social, an psychological development beginning with conception
