Scholarship
“To gain understanding that wisdom may be vouchsafed to me”

Alpha Iota continually maintains the academic excellence expected of each chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta. The Fraternity sets a 2.4 minimum GPA requirement for individual members and a 2.75 minimum GPA for each chapter to remain in Good Standing. Alpha Gamma Delta’s Strive for Pi program also recognizes women who have earned a 3.14 or higher GPA each semester. Because of our continued focus on the importance of academic achievement, Alpha Iota received the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. Of the five sorority chapters on Baldwin-Wallace campus, Alpha Gamma Delta currently holds the highest grade point average at 3.397. We are the only sorority to be continually ranked in the top two for highest GPA in the last five years. In addition, 27 girls made the Dean's List for Fall semester, 2007. The Vice President Scholarship provides several programs throughout the year to help members succeed in school. Some of these include: Study Incentive Programs, Study Squirrels, Weekly Study Tables, Weekly Academic Awards, and a Scholarship Banquet at the end of each school year.
