The Red Footed Tortoise is found in South America. He lives in forested areas and eats mainly vegetation. Right now, this turtle is  not endangered, but its habitat is slowly being destroyed by humans.

The Gecko: This Leopard Gecko is just one of many varieties of lizards found in the rainforest. This gecko can become tame when in captivity and actually seems to like being around humans. Its numbers are declining in the wild. Click on this link to see many more lizards and learn about them. GECKO 

South American Caiman: This crocodile can be 5 to 7 feet long and weigh 75 to 150 pounds. They prefer to live in slow moving streams, pond and lakes. This crocodile feeds on fish, mammals and sometimes birds. To view other alligators and crocodiles, click here!
