There are many variations that you can get from the vibrations of strings on the guitar. A factor that can affect the noise is what you are using to pluck the strings with in hearing the vibration from the guitar. In exploring guitar acoustics, I found the particular subject of finding out what the closest to a node that people could hear depending on where the string was being plucked on the guitar to be the most interesting.Since guitars are partially harmonic, plucking near an anti-node will excite the string. Plucking with a sharp object will accentuate higher harmonics rather than simply plucking with your finger. this is why I demonstrated what difference may be heard in the sound by plucking both with a pick and with my finger. Therefore, in testing this out to see what people could hear, I began to conduct an experiment that would allow me to test others to see what the difference was that they were hearing in a comparison of two sounds together.
