While you can click this icon and move to some levels of the hard disk you cannot change anything because access to computer settings is protected by security software. MUSIC APPS contains icons for all music software on the computer. NON-MUSIC APPS contains icons for all software programs not specifically intended for music work (word processors, Netscape, etc.). VIRTUAL 3D is a marching band software used by students in the Music Education program. HARTZELL's CLASSES is an example of the type of folder maintained by teachers. If your classroom teacher maintains such a folder it will appear on the computer and you will have been instructed in how to access the information it contains. As instructors begin to use the Internet for class work folders such as these will appear less and less. TRASH was an icon invented by the Apple Company to serve a variety of functions. The two most important for you are a place to dump icons and data you no longer need. By clicking and holding the SPECIAL menu above you can delete all trash items. The second use of TRASH is to remove a disk you have placed in the computer. Simply drag the icon for your disk to the trash and the computer will eject the disk.
