This tutorial will take you through the basic steps to create professional sounding musical sequences using the Mark of the Unicorn's Professional Performer sequencing software.

The reason for using PERFORMER as the sequencing software of choice is that is the most commonly used of the professional sequencing software programs on the market. While there are others, Performer is used in more production houses and studios than any other single sequencer.

Within the Conservatory program the sophomore harmony classes will be introduced to this software through a graduated program of instruction. Generally during the fourth or fifth week of Music 206 all students will receive their first introduction to Performer. Once this has taken place it will be expected that all harmony students will use Performer to complete special creative projects that will then be recorded.
