In order to create accidentals you must go to the MAIN ENTRY PALETTE and click on the SIMPLE ENTRY TOOL.

Once you click on the SIMPLE ENTRY TOOL the SIMPLE ENTRY PALETTE appears (usually to the right of the MAIN ENTRY PALETTE).

We are going to change an Ab to an A natural. On the SIMPLE ENTRY PALETTE you must click on the up arrow that has a # to do this. (If you needed to lower an accidental you would use the down arrow with a b.)

As you can see below this operation change the Ab to an A natural.
