TRASH was an icon invented by the Apple Company to serve a variety of functions. The two most common functions of the TRASH container are to take any items you no longer need. By clicking and holding the SPECIAL menu above you can delete all trash items. The second function of TRASH is to remove a disk you have placed in the computer. Simply drag the icon for your disk (either a floppy disk in the computer or a zip drive) to the trash and the computer will eject the disk.
