Before using any software program please be sure of
the following:
1. The Modulation Wheel is completely down.
2. The K2VX is set to MIDI Channel 1.
3. That MIDI Channel 1 is set to (1) Acoustic Piano.
Double click on the MUSIC APPS. folder.
Double click on the PRACTICA MUSICA Icon.
The next dialog box will have various names and/or symbols. None of
this is important simply click OK and go on.
A list of your scores will appear on the screen. Click the RETURN key
to continue. (Practica Musica is constructed so that individual students
can keep track of their practice sessions. Since we are using hte sopftware
under a site liscence this option is not available to us. No matter what
the screen says clicking the retunr key will move you into the software.)
Be sure the K2VX is set to ACOUSTIC PIANO. If it is not, press 1 on
the KEY PAD and then ENTER. When your instructor wishes you to use a different
timbre he/she will explain what is needed.
Once the program has been loaded and the keyboard appears you may begin
by clicking and holding on the ACTIVITY menu.
Select the activity you wish to use.
You will need to go to the same menu and select a difficulty level.
You are now ready to use the program. If your Instructor has not informed
you on how to use the program ask the monitor for the PRACTICA MUSICA booklet.
