You create a 12 X 12 Matrix beworking through the following steps.
STEP ONE
Take a blank Matrix.
STEP TWO
Write the Row (Basic Set) across the top row of the Matrix. Include both the pitch names an the mod12 interval numbers.
STEP THREE
Create a diagonal row of zeros from the top left to the bottom right of the Matrix.
STEP FOUR
Down the left column write in the Inversion numbers. To do this use the number complement of the Row interval numbers.
STEP FIVE
Go to the number one in the left column and fill-in that row by adding 1 to each of the numbers in the P-0 set.
STEP SIX
Now write in the letter names that relate to your numbers. This will be the P-1 row.
STEP SEVEN
Do the same thing to the P-2 set starting with the set numbers. THis time add 1 to the P-1 number sequence.
STEP EIGHT
Now add the correct letter names that correspond to the given numbers.
REMAINING STEPS
Continue in this manner until the Matrix is completed.
